Man City vs Arsenal: Guardiola suffers a devastating player injury blow

Ahead of the highly anticipated Premier League fixture, Man City vs Arsenal, it has been confirmed that Pep Guardiola's side has suffered a huge player injury blow.

Arguably one of the highly anticipated fixtures of the 2024/2025 Premier League season Man City vs Arsenal, might be missing one of the key players of the fixture due to injury.

According to reports, Kevin De Bruyne is set to miss the game against Arsenal this weekend due to an injury the Belgian suffered in the game against Inter Milan in City's opening fixture of the 2024/2025 Champions League season.

According to reports by Daily Mirror, his injury is not long-term. However, the training staff are not willing to risk playing him to prevent the situation from worsening.

It has been stated that, "But his injury is not understood to rule him out long-term so Man City's staff members are unwilling to risk playing him and potentially losing him for even longer."

The Belgian midfielder suffered a serious hamstring injury last season, leaving him sidelined until the beginning of 2024. In the game against Inter Milan during the week, he was withdrawn from the game at half-time after he felt discomfort in the first half.

He was seen grabbing his groin in pain while he was still on the pitch and following the half-time whistle, the 33-year-old went into the tunnel and didn’t emerge for the second half of the game. He was replaced instead with returning City star, Ilkay Gundogan.

Manchester City is set to play against Arsenal this weekend. This match is highly anticipated, as both teams are strong contenders in the Premier League, however, KDB’s absence in the City squad would be thoroughly felt.
