Emmanuel Chinyere Uzoh, owner of Gold Moola Entertainment and a Nigerian show promoter based in the United States of America, has accused Grammy-winning Nigerian act Burna Boy and his mother of extorting him of $50,000.
The show promoter, via his company's Instagram page on Tuesday November 2nd, 2021, called out Burna Boy and his mum, Bose Ogulu, who is also his manager, stating that they collected the sum of $50,000 from him to perform at a club in Houston, Texas, on October 30th, 2021, but never showed up for the agreed performance.
According to the lengthy post he put on the Instagram story, Burna Boy had already confirmed that he would attend the show, only for his mum to ask for an extra $10,000 from him at the last minute, a decision that eventually made the show promoter withdraw from the deal and demand a refund as he saw the extra charges as extortion.
