In an attempt to get a topnotch forward after selling Kun Aguero to Spanish side Barcelona, the arab-owned club are checking out the probability of luring the Polish goal poacher to Etihad.
Lewandowski currently has two years remaining on his deal with Bayern Munich worth more than £300,000 a week and he has yet to sign a new deal with the German giants.
The 32-year-old is no stranger to City's gaffer Pep Guardiola, whom he played under for two years at Bayern from 2014-16, winning two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup.
