Emi o ra ye oshi
Mi o ra ye oshi
Bobo ko fo’shi
Awon eyan mama ko fo’shi
Ta lo na owo oshi
E mi o na owo oshi
When I first saw Olamide’s new song online come with the title; “Woske,” I quickly conceived the rapper cum singer is looking to force his way back to the streets as he intends to make “Woske” a street culture. Whether this is achievable will be a topic for another day.
Meanwhile going into the review of the song in proper, Olamide makes it clear on “Woske” that he is still as ferocious as ever when it comes to delivering dope rap lines, punchlines and wordplays in his records when he wants to.
The talented rapper/singer has taken us down memory lane as he spits hard on “Woske,” making us drool about his rap ingenuity of some eight to ten years ago when he started building his legacy as a household name in the Nigerian music industry.
With lines such as “Emi o raye oshi, to ba ro’mo to fine yewo, woske yewo” Olamide tells us in the record about his ‘no nonsense’ attitude & never sluggish predatory instincts when it comes to making a move when he sees a girl who’s got so much beauty & sexual appeal.
Baddo further reminded his now-doubters and haters that when it comes to the rap game he’s still ahead of everyone. He used the lines “I’m the number one not the second one, No competiton je komo, flow mi tun tight won daran” to stretch the fact that he remains the king of rap in Nigeria.
With the sensational beat which I feel has a little of Carribean element, Olamide is able to take command of the record in an effortless fashion, blending so much with the instrumentation and the fast-paced tempo.
I see this jam doing decently in streets & urban areas in the coming weeks. I also see it being blasted on a regular in clubs and parties across the country.
Olamide is still a rap genius!
