2. Small Doctor

“Penalty” is arguably the street smash of the year. If Small Doctor’s banger isn’t played at your party, gbedu neva complete.

3. Simi

Simi’s unique voice and lyrical excellence warmed the hearts of all Nigerian music listeners this year. Her album “Simisola” is magical.

4. Skales

Skales’ determination is admirable. The former EME act keeps dropping bangers upon bangers, whether Nigerians sleep on him or not. His Burna Boy collaboration, “Temper“, is a hit.

5. Maleek Berry

You know your EP is timeless when you release it in Summer ’16 and it’s still making waves in 2017. Maleek Berry has created his own sound, and has stuck with it.
